Reviews
Tuesday Specials & A lot of flavor. Smells of Cajun spices are in the air. The service is straight forward and quick, food comes out fast also. This is the California way of Cajun which I don't mind at all. I came from Louisiana so the style of Cajun that i was familiar with was the seafood cooked in a well seasoned spicy broth versus a well seasoned spicy sauce. I have yet to try other seafood boil spots here in the Central Valley, I just like to wait it out to see who survives the tastebuds of the locals and so far Crawfish Guy still stands strong.
Honestly the best Cajun spot in Fresno, I wish they had combo deals though.. But the flavor keeps me coming back.
We came on a Saturday for a late lunch . This restaurant gets packed so come earlier if you are coming for dinner. We wanted to try some of everything so we ordered king crab legs , whole shrimp, crawfish (medium spicy ) , oysters (raw), clams( extra spicy ) and the 10 piece of wings with wet lemon pepper sauce . The food takes awhile to come out, more than 15 minutes but it was worth it because the food was so tasty !!!! The crawfish tasted super fresh and didn't have any of that muddy taste that I don't like . The clams were huge !!! I was expecting the smaller clams but they served the larger clams here which were super meaty and delicious. The lemon pepper wings here were one of the most delicious wings I have ever tried , they add some of there own seasoning and it's so so good . They are generous with the sauce and I took some of the sauce home! This is one of my fave restaurants down here !
The first time I came here I did not know how to eat Cajun boil food or what to get, but today I came in and got the king crab legs(1/2 lb). I got them with the garlic sauce and the heat level was spicy. This was my first experience eating king crab legs and I was not disappointed. The service was good! Their staff was very nice. The ambiance and/or atmosphere was also nice. It was fun being able to see at with bibs and gloves over the tables! Overall, this was a fun and tasty experience :)
The aroma when you walk in is to die for! I ordered food to go and waited about 15 mins which isn't bad . I tried to order ahead while driving there but they needed my card number before placing the order in which is understandable however I was driving and couldn't get my card out. So just FYI if ordering ahead you need to give them your card information. I ordered 1 pound shrimp , 1 pound mussels in allsome sauce medium spicy , 2 garlic noodles , 2 rice, add ons : sausages, corn and potatoes all of which came out to $75 The garlic noodles were the best I have ever had and honestly 1 order can serve like 2 or 3 people My suggestion is to order the shrimp whole !! I ordered them pre peeled because my husband hates peeling shrimp but it takes away from so much flavor The service was also fantastic , I'm only giving 4/5 stars because I thought the sauce could be more flavorful
